Climbing in Leipzig!
Germany’s ambition was to make the 18th FIFA World Cup™ the best yet – and they were even reaching high during its Final Draw in Leipzig.

As the stunning Heidi Klum helped conduct proceedings, a climber helped the watching world see which teams were in which groups. In the above picture he’s seen adding Poland to Group A, which kicked off the tournament with a match between Germany and Costa Rica.

It took Philipp Lahm just six minutes to jink inside his man from the left and whack the ball into the top corner from the edge of the box. It helped Jurgen Klinsmann’s side to a 4-2 victory, and the hosts certainly played a big part in an unforgettable competition, especially in a thrilling semi-final defeat to eventual champions Italy.
